The Economic and Commercial Section of the Embassy of the Argentine Republic in Hungary carries out economic and trade promotion activities aimed at increasing and diversifying Argentine exports to Hungary and the countries within its jurisdiction, as well as promoting the attraction of productive investments to the Argentine Republic.
In pursuit of these objectives, the Section implements a work agenda focused on the generation of strategic information, support to the Argentine private sector, and the strengthening of bilateral economic and commercial relations, in coordination with national agencies and local counterparts.
Among its main functions and lines of action are:
- Strengthening bilateral economic and trade relations by facilitating institutional contacts between public authorities and private sector stakeholders, and promoting sectoral dialogue with counterparts in Hungary, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- Assisting Argentine companies, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises, through support in trade missions, business matchmaking rounds, international fairs, and sectoral promotion events, as well as through individualized follow-up of commercial inquiries.
- Preparing and updating country and sectoral economic and commercial reports, including market analysis, foreign trade, investments, regulatory frameworks, and concrete market entry opportunities for Argentine products, based on official local and international sources.
- Developing and systematizing trade intelligence by identifying market niches, potential importers, distributors, and strategic partners, particularly in sectors such as food and beverages, wines, agro-industrial products, and manufactured goods of industrial origin.
- Promoting productive investment opportunities in Argentina through the identification of sectoral and regional projects of interest and engagement with potential investors from Central Europe.
- Promoting Argentina’s export offer and country image through institutional and sectoral promotion activities, including the dissemination of emblematic products, events related to Argentine wine, and other positioning initiatives.
- Promoting inbound tourism to Argentina by coordinating actions with specialized agencies and tourism sector stakeholders, within the framework of a comprehensive promotion strategy.
